Yes, all incoming first-year students (with a few exceptions) are required to live on campus.

Is NC State a nice campus?
The campus itself is beautiful and academics are also great there. There’s some really interesting classes and so many different majors. All of the professors I’ve had so far have been genuinely interested in what they’re teaching and really helpful. There really is something for everyone there.

You can live in one of our 20 on-campus residence halls. In most cases, halls are co-ed but divided into sections by gender. Housekeeping staff cleans the hallways, stairwells and community bathrooms daily. Since each room opens to a long hallway, these spaces less private than suite-style buildings.
