The advanced stimulus payments will be determined based on 2019 income (or 2018 income if that is all that is available to the IRS) and the final amount of the benefits will be determined based on 2020 income and settled on the 2020 tax return.
How is the stimulus check calculated for married couples?
Yes. An individual with an AGI of up to $75,000 would receive the full $1,400 check; a couple filing jointly with an AGI of up to $150,000 would receive $2,800 ($1,400 per eligible person). A head-of-household filer with an AGI of up to $112,500 would receive the full $1,400 check.
Will married couples get 1200 each?
Eligible individuals with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 will automatically receive the full $1,200 payment. Eligible married couples filing a joint return with adjusted gross income up to $150,000 will automatically receive the full $2,400 payment. Parents also get $500 for each eligible child under 17.
