A binding financial agreement, sometimes known as a prenuptial agreement, sets out the way some or all of a couple’s assets will be divided in the event that their relationship breaks down. It can also deal with spousal maintenance.
What is the difference between a consent order and a parenting order?
What is the difference between consent orders, parenting plans and parenting orders? When you and your ex-partner agree about arrangements for your child/ren, you can apply to the court for orders to be made by agreement. Consent orders are court orders that set out what both parents must do.
Can a child custody agreement be negotiated outside of court?

A family can negotiate a parenting agreement, with or without the assistance of attorneys. The ADR process tend to be less adversarial and more casual than the traditional court setting.
Can a parent change the terms of a custody agreement?
This means that both parents must abide by all of the terms and conditions of the plan. One parent cannot unilaterally make changes to the plan without the other parent’s consent. If the parents disagree on changing the plan, they must go to court to seek a modification of the agreement.
When to use alternating weeks for child custody?
As opposed to the “visit” option in Plan #3, this method allows for the child to spend the entire night with the other parent. While alternating weeks is usually more common, you can make the duration at each house as short or as long as you want.
