Already has to go either after the first auxiliary verb or, if there are no auxiliary verbs, before the main verb. In the other construction, however, have is the main verb, and there are no auxiliary verbs, so already has to precede have.
Has already or have already?
“Has” is a very that is used with a subject that is singular. We could say “they have already gone” because “they” is plural, but we cannot say “he have already gone” because “he” is singular. Therefore, we must use “he has” in this sentence.
Can already or already can?
“Can” and “already” aren’t mutually exclusive… You can say things like “I can already see you” with no problem. The mistake in your sentence is trying to combine “have” and “can”. You can’t do that – can is a verb form that can’t have its tense changed with other modal forms like “have” or “will”.
Should already be or should be already?
You’re right, there is a tense problem. “Should already have exist” should be “should already have existed.” This is the past progressive (or past continuous) tense combined with a modal verb “should.” The auxiliary “have” cannot be combined with the present tense form of a verb: it always takes a past participle.
Is already before or after?
Already normally goes before full verbs, after auxiliary verbs, and after BE whether it is a full or an auxiliary verb: I already earn more than I need. I have already told you that. I am already there.
Why are rhetorical questions Effective?
Rhetorical questions are a useful technique in persuasive writing. As there is nobody to answer the question, a rhetorical question is usually designed to speak directly to the reader. It allows the reader a moment to pause and think about the question.
Can we use already with Past Perfect?
Already: meaning We use already to emphasise that something was completed before something else happened. It is often used with the present perfect or past perfect: The plane had already landed when the pilot announced that there would be a delay in getting to the gate.
Do you have already or do you already have?
Both, but not interchangeably. If “have” is an auxiliary, “already” comes after it, before the participle – “I have already answered this question”. If “have” is being used in the sense of “possess”, “already” precedes it – “No thank you, I already have one of those”.
Is already done or was already done?
