Explain is a relatively straightforward skill to demonstrate. Answers are usually broken down into three parts to achieve marks:
- make a point.
- give a reason why (often given as ‘because’)
- state the consequence (positive or negative) for the business.
How do you describe a question in history?
In a Describe question you have to describe what happened during an event or issue. Describe questions are worth 4 marks. You need to make four relevant historical points to get full marks. You can get one mark for each simple point and two marks for each developed point.
How to answer a question You’ve already answered?
