Do landlords have to give reasons?
With most other evictions, your landlord must prove a legal reason for eviction. If you’re a lodger or other excluded occupier, you can be evicted without a court order once your contract or reasonable notice has ended. Your landlord does not need to give a reason.
What do you say when applying for a rental property?
To make a good impression on your landlord, you should describe yourself as the best tenant in a cover letter. Drop a few lines about your lifestyle and say what kind of person you are. If your background is not impeccable, provide a brief explanation why you had issues in the past and what you did to fix them.
