F1 Visa holders can marry while in school and apply for a Change of Status without seeking a waiver. Under such circumstances, the foreign student will most likely be able to remain in the United States.

Can my spouse work while I study in the US?

Per U.S. government regulations, only married spouses can obtain a dependent visa status. The student, scholar or employee can add a dependent spouse to his or her record, and the spouse can then obtain a dependent visa status (F-2, J-2 or H-4). J-2 spouses can study, and work if they first obtain work authorization.

Can I get married on a Tier 4 student visa?

There are no specific restrictions on getting married in the UK while you are on a valid Tier 4 study visa. Given that some marriages can take months to plan, if your study visa is due to expire before you can get married, you will either need to extend your study visa or apply for a spouse visa.
