What is covered under Qsehra?
There are more than 200 expenses that are eligible for reimbursement through the QSEHRA, including: Individual health insurance premiums. Individual dental, vision, or long-term care insurance premiums. Copays.
What is the difference between Qsehra and ichra?
To offer a QSEHRA, an organization must have fewer than 50 full-time employees, and it can’t offer a group insurance policy (including group health, dental, or vision insurance). An ICHRA comes with no such requirements. Employers of all sizes can offer an ICHRA.
Are Qsehra funds owned by the employer?
Typically, QSEHRA amounts claimed by employees are paid monthly by their employer. Generally, the QSEHRA amount you provide to your employees will affect the amount of premium tax credit your employees are eligible for with their Individual Marketplace coverage.
What can Qsehra funds be used for?
If your employer offers you a QSEHRA, you can use it to help pay your household’s health care costs (like your monthly premium) for qualifying health coverage.

How are Qsehra funded?
If an employee is not eligible or does not make a claim in a given plan year, the employer keeps the money. Funded solely by the employer. This makes sense when you think about it because QSEHRA is a reimbursement of expenses the employee is paying out of pocket.
